“An incredible place.”
Yama HQ is an incredible place. Elsie and Darren have put so much thought and love into crafting a true home in a breathtaking location. As hosts they are responsive and helpful and a pleasure to deal with. From Yama, you can easily go skiing at some of Japan’s finest resorts at Niseko United, spend languid hours in a nearby onsen or discover the countryside and local forest... it’s all possible. We adored staying here and you probably should too and make sure you love it like it’s your own because these guys have put their hearts and souls into this gorgeous house.

“It's very cosy and comfortable”
We love the deco of the house. It’s very cozy and comfortable. The amenities provided is superb. We enjoyed staying there for 3 nights. The house is exactly like in the photos. We will definitely revisit Niseko and stay at Elsie’s. p/s: We have our own car, so no issue to go to the town.

Fabulous place. Obviously ideal for snowsporters but we were there just to enjoy the house and the snow. Kids loved it! Could let them loose in the area around the house without worries. I did loads of cooking and reading... All perfect.

“Will no doubt come back to the Yama HQ.”
Elsie was a wonderful host. The home that she has created and so kindly shares was perfect for our week long stay, and our first visit to Japan. The famed snow did indeed fall constantly, so the morning (and evening) shovelling provided a nice warm-up before heading into the mountains to ski the fluffy powder. We were a group of 7 (3 adults, and 4 teenagers) visiting from the U.S., checking up on a son who is working at Rusutsu for the season. It was a great trip and we will no doubt come back to the Yama HQ.

“The home is a snow lovers paradise.”
This was a truly exceptional experience. Elsie’s home is very special and super welcoming. She is easily the best host we have experienced. Living in the Niseko back country in winter, the home has some quirks so make sure you read the instructions and ask for help. This all added to the experience. The home is a snow lovers paradise. It was perfect for our two families of four and the location meant we could explore lots of different ski resorts over our 8 night stay. Elsie’s recommendations in the information book were spot on from snow spots to eats to onsens. We will be back.

“We really enjoyed staying here”
We really enjoyed staying here. It worked great for our group of 6 adults as we checked out all the different ski resorts in the area. I really appreciated the information provided to help us decide where to go. We wanted a quiet place to end our days and this was perfect.

“I would stay here again in a heartbeat!.”
I've been to Niseko quite a few times and it was really great to stay here near Rankoshi with easy access to great food, Onsens (hot springs) and great areas to snowboard. Elsie was extremely helpful and kind. The house was tastefully styled, clean and had everything we needed. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

“Magnifique chalet très bien aménagé.”
Magnifique chalet très bien aménagé. Propreté garantie. Prévoyez une voiture pour gain de temps et économie sur les taxi. A 5 personnes on se sent pas serrer durant 6 jours.
